In 1978, Tony Tan Caktiong converted his ice cream parlour in Quezon City into a fast food restaurant, which became the first Jollibee outlet. Jollibee offers the Yumburger, Chickenjoy (a fried chicken meal) and Jolly Spaghetti (a sweet Filipino spaghetti with pieces of hot dog and ham). Jollibee's mascot is a bee dressed in a red blazer and a chef's hat. The first Singapore branch opened at Lucky Plaza in 2013.
