Suki-Ya was founded in 2008 by entrepreneur Anthony Wong. Suki-Ya as its name suggests, derives from the Sukiyaki, which is a Japanese dish that is prepared and served in a Japanese hot pot. Its buffet menu offers unlimited beef, pork and chicken. Suki-Ya features 5 different types of soup bases, namely, Shabu Shabu, Sukiyaki, Tonyu Miso, Butaniku and Kimuchi.
